Today was the opening of the Linden Postcard Show (which I haven't seemed to shut up about in this blog for the last four weeks).
I went with my boyfriend, Bill and a friend from work, Lil (that rhymes).
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I had three pieces in the exhibition and when I rocked up a few minutes past opening hour they all had those wonderful little red dots next to them that meant they were sold. Apparently they'd all gone at the preview the night before. Wow!
There were some amazing pieces there - one that I really loved was a crocheted 3D piece - a little boy and a balloon. It was so sweet (another one that had sold the night before).
Also there was a lovely piece by Anna Hoyle, one of my favourite Melbourne artists who paints like this:
All in all it was a great, if not very crowded!, day.
Sunny, lots of great work to look at, some lovely people to go with. And I walked away with three red dots!
