I went to check out the Small Works show at the Brunswick Street Gallery - it was fantastic. If you're in Melbourne, it's well worth checking out.
I'm always a bit nervous about taking photos in a gallery (I keep expecting a tap on the shoulder from a burly security guard), but I snapped a couple of pics of my work and of Bec Winnel's pieces - wow, they were stunning - my photos don't do them justice, so check them out on her blog.
Also last weekend, I was lucky enough to visit the most gorgeous country house, up near the Dandenongs in Victoria.
They had the most divine lichen growing on the trees. I'm going to use it as reference for a painting at some point.

Wow, how cool that lichen is! Definitely inspiring for someone like me.
