Playing with matches

What I adore about 696 is their eagerness to do things differently.

For example, as part of their first birthday celebrations they're getting artists to decorate and donate matchboxes which will then be sold for $10 each to raise money for their shop insurance. Now that's what I call creative thinking. Brilliant!

Bill's out with a friend all day, so I've been making up some matchbox art.

I've completed four so far:

I think the little cut out diorama style one is my favourite!

But I'm not sure how Bill's going to react when he seems the dining table. (Luckily we're going out for dinner!) ;)

So, I'm not the only one who leaves a dining table looking like that at the finish line of a project...or maybe just the end of a Saturday. Good to know...who are these lucky people who have studios? And who needs a studio when you have a dining table?

I love the matchbox art and my favorite is the cut out diorama one, too!

Your work is wonderful! 696 should be stoked to have these... and I love the 'dining' table.... so that's how you get taken out to dinner, will have to try it!
